I started life a few decades ago in Abbotsford, BC. My journey of faith in Jesus Christ began when I was eight. Under the influence of a devoted mother and a church that valued knowledge of the Bible, I developed an early love for God’s written Word. This love grew into a passion to study and teach Scripture, which has carried me through a number of degree programs and twenty-five years of pastoral ministry. I married Kirsten in 1994. Our journey together started in Prince Rupert BC and followed Highway 16 first to Terrace BC, next to Westlock AB, and now to the city of Edmonton. We’ve been at CCA since the Fall of 2018. We have three outstanding children: Hannah (’96), Nathanael (’99) and Marissa (’02). I love getting out into God’s creation: running and hiking, peddling and paddling, skiing downhill and cross-country. I also love connecting with people over coffee, or tea if the coffee is weak.
